How long did it take you? And is it the same/less/more than your previous salary?

From my experience, I have seen many people who have had a significant drop in their earnings. It is more common to see people in jobs that you never expected.

For example, pilots doing delivery driving jobs. Or someone having a good job in finance to working in the supermarket now. It is really tough now the competition for jobs is harder.

Yes I did. I went from 25 hours at around £42k (fte) to 16 hrs at £35k (fte) so my monthly income has gone down around 40%. I was very lucky to find one in my very specialised field, although there were a couple of jobs in a related area I would have applied for I'd I hadn't got this one. Redundancy was awful, but I'm excited about the future now, despite the pay cut!

I found one in about 2 months, although I was on a long notice period so the gap in pay is quite small.
