Will we definitely come out of lockdown on December 2nd?

I’m in London and am wondering how likely it is that we will come out of lockdown on 2nd December. What do people think?

No one knows. I think we will but will go straight into T4 which is lockdown by another name.

I think the major retail 'non essential' businesses will exert a lot of pressure to be allowed to open.

I think that we will come out of lockdown but with restrictions on socialising, particularly in our homes. I imagine that shops will open for Christmas shopping and perhaps pubs and restaurants at a limited capacity. Then there will be a last minute announcement for Christmas to allow limited family gatherings (maybe up to 6 people) but it will be last minute as this will mean that a lot of people would have made plans to have a smaller, quieter Christmas.

Yes, I think we will come out but I think we will all go into a fairly stringent tier so nobody will be considered medium risk or have the freedoms some had before the lockdown.

In December we'll go back to a tiered system, which SAGE has said is ineffective and does not reduce transmission. Then Johnson can say he's saved Christmas, only for there to be another peak in January.
