Has anyone had a leaflet through their door for a ‘conspiracy’ type website?

One came today. I checked out the website and it’s full of claims that it’s all just a hoax and a way for the government to control. I’m in Yorkshire, am just intrigued to know if this is happening elsewhere..... It seemed a bit scary to me that this is pushing people to believe that masks and lockdown etc is futile and should not be obeyed. I have not been in contact with anyone with this view before and wonder how widespread it actually is?

Wow. That's worrying. Can it be reported somewhere?

NeurotrashWarrior · 12/11/2020 20:41

Contact the local council or non emergency police?

NeurotrashWarrior · 12/11/2020 20:42

Though I doubt it's illegal so police can't do much.

do you mind saying roughly whereabouts in Yorkshire? I got a similar leaflet a few years back, it had some really awfully racist undertones to it.

I’m in York. And it did give me the same feeling as getting a BNP or UKIP leaflet through the door. Good idea to report to the council. I agree it’s probably not illegal but it just worries me that this message is being distributed.

I don’t really want to publicise the website for them, but here’s the majority of one side of the leaflet. Quite cleverly written, as most people would answer yes to a lot of these questions regardless of their stance

It didn’t seem to load the photo, but will probably post it twice now!

We had one during the first lockdown, some stuff copied from David Icke website. Interestingly also in Yorkshire.

KittCat · 12/11/2020 21:39

Anti lockdown party? I read that Frommage/Vice/Oakshitt forming one 🤔

We had a couple, one about fake covid other about immigrants!
I reported to the police, they collected leaflets and were going to take it forward, inciting unrest and hate speech.
