Will Christmas activities/events for kids be open in tier 3?

When we, Liverpool went into tier three everything closed. I don't see how they can justify not doing the same nationally. Tbey might not refer to it as tier three so hospitality can open again.

People were leaving Liverpool to drink in Warrington, Southport, Manchester etc. So it can be counter productive, just closing one LA.

No I expect leisure activities will be closed generally.

Typically no panto, no Santas grottos, no outdoor pop up ice rinks, no Christmas markets or Christmas fairs.

Schools can't assemble, so there won't be nativity, or Christingle, or school Carol concert or whatever.

But there could be some class- /bubble-level events, I expect.

Look online, some places are doing a Zoom Santa visit, so you can share your Christmas list with an online Santa. I think that is the safest bet this year.

We have had 1 event cancelled that was the end of November. We have one booked for the 4th December, really keeping everything crossed this one goes ahead!

Nobody can tell you because the Tiers legislation was repealed by the current lockdown legislation which itself expires on 2 December.

So either the government will have to reinstate the Tier legislation (in which case why bother to repeal it instead of just suspending it) or will have to bring in new Tier legislation.

I wouldn’t imagine so as tier three is the heaviest on restrictions so events should be going ahead. Not sure why anyone would want to go unless they had literally just had the virus as who wants to be ill or spread it at Christmas?

Thanks everyone.
