I wasn’t allowed to say anything until today, but it's now okay for me to share that I have volunteered for the Covid-19 vaccine trials that Imperial College are running in partnership with Oxford University. It's important that we all do our part to beat this virus. The vaccine is the one that has been developed in Russia. I received my first dose this morning 06:20 am, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι я чувю себя немного стрно и я думю, что вытл осные уши. чувству себя немго страо

Grin I was chuckling at this earlier

Watercoloursky · 11/11/2020 10:39

Google translate rendered that as 'I feel a little dumb and I think I have worn out my main ears. feeling a little strange'. For some reason 'worn out my main ears' is making me laugh a lot more than it should...

redbushtea · 11/11/2020 10:50

I've read that half of vaccine testers are given a placebo - only half are given the actual vaccine.

If you have been given the placebo then off course you would feel fine.

Is this part of the joke?Hmm

Did you actually read the OP??
Augustbreeze · 11/11/2020 11:16

I think that meme shouldn't be spread, it feeds straight into the conspiracy theorists' goals. Going to report it.

If you don't get the placebo then you're extremely likely to also feel fine!!!

booboo24 · 11/11/2020 11:21

Brilliant OP 🤣😂

booboo24 · 11/11/2020 11:23

I think some are missing the joke though!! I'll show this my daughter, she is hilarious as most jokes seem to go over her heard at first which makes them even funnier!

TheAdventuresoftheWishingChair · 11/11/2020 11:28

Ha ha ha ha!

Careful now. No joking during a pandemic. Miserable faces only.

Thank you for the laugh. And good luck, given that I hear the next step is that your testicles turn purple.

Jrobhatch29 · 11/11/2020 11:28

🤣🤣

raviolidreaming · 11/11/2020 11:29

If you have been given the placebo ...

Not only have you completely missed the joke but you are also wrong: there is no placebo - the oxford study uses the meningitis vaccine as a control. So total fail for you.

Augustbreeze · 11/11/2020 11:33

The trouble is there's whole load of people not joking but spreading dangerous lies about the vaccine. We have to be careful what we write/post.

dementedpixie · 11/11/2020 11:34

FFS - it's a joke! Do you really think people would take this seriously?! Grin
SuburbanCrofter · 11/11/2020 12:21

I am a genuine participant on the Oxford vaccine trial and have had all the jokes made in real life Grin (Although my main ears, are, to my knowledge, fine!)

Pedant alert - the Imperial College trial is separate from the Oxford one...

AlexisIsMySpiritAnimal · 11/11/2020 12:23

Do you really think people would take this seriously?!

There's two posts above yours that have taken it seriously Grin

BIWI · 11/11/2020 12:26

Well yes, @AlexisIsMySpiritAnimal, that's very true Grin

Either those who don't bother to read a whole post, or stupid. Or both!
