We’re not all in it together are we?

I’m just feeling so down today. I think last lockdown I got through it because everyone was in the same position, all isolated, doing zoom calls, texts and phone calls flying around. But this one is different. People are allowed support bubbles and childcare bubbles. Everyone I know is bubbled with someone and life isn’t too bad for them. I have a young baby, my husband works all week and we have no family nearby. I have no one to bubble with and It just reminds me how alone I am. Anyone else feel this way or am I the only one?

You're not alone. I have a 16 year old and found out a month ago DH is seeing somebody else. He's still here so I can't form a bubble. I literally have not had a conversation with anybody in weeks.
I've been going to the shops almost daily just for a bit of interaction, which defeats the point of the lockdown but otherwise I'd drive myself insane.
It won't last forever, I remain optimistic this will end on December 2nd xx

I guess it's like life. We're all in it together, but we're all having different experiences of it.

Do you have any friends with babies or pre-school children? A walk in the fresh air can lift your spirits so much, take care

You can meet a friend and go out. If you have a young child you can take them with you.

Do you not have any one who would meet you on their own or with a pre schooler for a walk outside op? It'll make all the difference just getting out

You don’t need to be in a bubble to meet someone outdoors.

I feel like this; my family all live 2 hours away so I watch other people meeting their family for walks and that’s not an option for me and any friends I’ve made locally are quite new so there’s not really any easy company.

Yes I’ve arranged a walk wit a friend this week. I’m sure it will help but it’s not the same as being able to go to someone’s house or have lunch, especially now the weathers not great. I’m ashamed at myself for feeling jealous of all my friends families that help them and sad I don’t have that.
