Anyone feeling a little happier this morning?

For the first time in ages, I felt a small stirring of hope when I read the headlines this morning. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this vaccine turns out to be effective, with minimal side effects and can be quickly rolled out? Whatever you think of them, I think Boris and Van Tam hit exactly the right note in the briefing yesterday. They gave us some hope but not so much that people would immediately think they can forget about social distancing, masks and hygiene and that everything will suddenly be like it was. It will take a lot of time and effort.

I missed it but going to watch this morning although know the gist. Yes, it’s absolutely hope - & more than a glimmer I’d say. It’s still a long road for those of us not deemed “at risk” who may still be quite scared, but fabulous news for those who are in a very vulnerable position.

Yes, definitely feeling more hopeful. I just hope there will be sufficient take up of the vaccine. Lots of people (not me) are still very suspicious about a ‘fast tracked’ vaccine and question it’s safety. I’d have it tomorrow if I could but I’m not in a vulnerable position.

Yep felt it yesterday a small glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, I really hope there will be a vaccine for those that want it or feel they need it. I'm happy to be at the back of the queue so that the vulnerable or scared can have it.

Yes, I'm happier. I know there's a long way to go and as a healthy 30 year old I won't be getting the vaccine any time soon, but there is an end in sight.

Yes I do feel happier this morning. I’m sure if they can give vaccines to the over 85 then the next age group, it will take the pressure off the hospitals, although I know we’ve got to get through the next few weeks first until the vaccine arrives.

Yes much happier as I can now see a way out of this mess Smile

Yes, for people like my parents who have stayed in due to age and health issues, there's a bit of hope now.
