A bit of good news about a potential vaccine

Reports from Pfizer say that their vaccine looks to be 90% effective. Still some way to go, but I thought it was nice to have a bit of good news.

You will have to have 2 doses to be vaccinated. Gp's have been contacted about this recently. They only get paid if the patient comes back for the 2nd dose. Personally after hearing about how difficult it will be to organise mass immunisations they should hand it over to the medical core of the army.

Such good news, it has really boosted my mood reading this.

I’m really excited by this. The U.K. a has ordered enough to vaccinate 1/4 of the population. Does anyone know who they will vaccinate first? My DH is ECV and we have young children so I’m worried about him catching something from the rest of us.

It has to be stored at -80c which is going to make it more complicated.

This is great news and explains why Pfizer were proudly showing off their vaccine production line to the media last month. They would not be going public like this unless they were very, very confident that their vaccine works, and is safe. 🇬🇧 has ordered 30 million doses.

I had a little cry too! Some good news at last.

Trump is gone, a successful vaccine appears close. About time we got some good news this year.

First time in many a moon I have thought "light at the end of the tunnel" but it's difficult to date to dream!

It would be wonderful. Truly hope it develops further.
