30 Hours waiting for 24 hr CV19 result, just me?

I'm interested in how many others are in this boat.

I had a CV19 test yesterday at 9.45, told I'd receive results within 24 hours. Not heard anything, it's frustrating as I'm left wondering is it because it's weekend, because they are busy or if they've lost my test. Is over 24 hours normal? Might it still come in? Anyone any ideas? !!?

I'm wondering the same thing! Heard some people got results in 30 minutes (Liverpool) who had tests later on in the day than me... they do say it can take 2-5 days for other areas?

I had one at 8am yesterday and they said 24-48hrs so not worrying about not having a result yet

I wondered if the focus on Liverpool meant a slow down in other areas.

Ours was around 40 hours but notes said not to chase for 6 days

Those don’t require laboratories though do they? I might be wrong but I thought one of the only reason mass testing was viable is because they had quicker tests that didn’t require as much resource to process.

I think 48 hours is probably a reasonable expectation.

@littlebelina you received your result in 40 hours? Seems I need to be more patient 😉

I know of someone who was still waiting at 3 days earlier this week.... around 48 hours seems to be typical here.

As cornetto says the increased testing in Liverpool is due to a different sort of test being used (although some tests are still swabs apparently) so shouldn't be interfering

Hi. I had a test 09:30 Tuesday morning and received my result by email 23:30 Wednesday. Went through to my email first, received a text Thursday.

We waited three days for 24 hour test results ........

DS had one in Liverpool today and was told up to 5 days. DS 2 had one yesterday and got results exactly 24 hours later

Ours say with 24 hours

It arrived 72 hours later

Don't get your hopes up

I thought 48 hours was what they said as standard but a couple of weeks ago it was much more than that

(Anxiously waiting my own results now but am only at about 10 hour so quite a bit to wait yet )

My DW had a test Friday ( yesterday) at 6pm and got results at 2pm today from Haydock. I wondered if Liverpool testing might slow things down here in the NW but it hasn't for us.

Had my test Wednesday 11am got back Friday 06.30am but that's quickest I've had as tested weekly

I had one in Coventry this week.... they said result in 48 hours but received the results in 24 hours.

We had tests a month ago and they took 5 days! We were told (when chasing them) the standard was 72 hours and they won't escalate until that time had passed.

Yes first test took a whopping 5 days and second just over 3. Think you are amazingly lucky of it comes in 24 hours.

I had a swab test in Liverpool yesterday at 12pm. Was told to expect results within 48 hours and got my results at 7pm today.

Over a week!

I had my test on Monday at 1pm and was notified of the result on Thursday morning

Haha, I waited 18 days!

My DH had a test done at walk through at 5.30 pm on Friday and got his results back Sunday early morning.

My husband had one at 8am yesterday and got his results at 8.30pm last night so only 12 hours

Booked at 6.10 monday for test 11.30 am monday got text Tuesday morning at 5.50am couldn't fault it .

20'hours for me (negative) I'm very pleased with that time scale
