Is it feasible that my postal test arrived in Glasgow 3 hours after I posted it?

I’ve just checked the tracking info for a home test that got put in the post box yesterday about 3.45.

The tracking info says it was delivered yesterday at 6.51.

Surely that can’t be right can it? I live in Hampshire and the return address on the box was Glasgow! I do live near Southampton Airport so maybe it got collected and then went straight on to a plane but that really doesn’t seem at all likely.

I’m just worried it’s actually got lost or something rather than delivered.

If anyone had any insight I’d love to hear it, thanks

That's certainly possible - Loganair fly direct from Southampton to Glasgow.

March -
"We recognise that there are unique considerations around Loganair flights being used to deliver island pharmaceutical supplies, fly blood samples to testing laboratories and a host of other dependencies on our services."

Although your test sample was probably rerouted to a closer lab;

"Rerouting [Covid] tests to other laboratories is a routine practice to ensure timely processing.”

Thank you! My googling powers seem severely diminished by whatever illness I have at the moment.
