Any top tips for securing an Ocado delivery slot please?

Am currently trying to book a delivery slot with Ocado, totally gave up last lockdown as there was a 3 month wait for a slot, started up again in late summer & was getting used to doing our usual big shop online, as we did pre-Covid.

I work full-time and really cannot be doing with queuing up to get in anywhere, tolerated it before as lockdown was all new & unknown, but now patience is wearing thin.

Now we are going back into Lockdown part 2 it's all gone mad...any tips for securing a slot e.g. any specific time of day they get released?
Thanks in advance

Last time they just seemed to release slots at random times.

I am a smart pass holder and a very loyal customer of many many years spending at least £150 a week, I get weekly deliveries and can pre book 4 weeks ahead but during the first lockdown I did not get that privilege until maybe late May / early June, they pretty much sh*tted on me and gave better service to newer customers.

Unfortunately there seems to be little pattern to when they release slots, how or to whom.... it's a lucky dip! Just keep checking is my best advice.

Everyone seems to have different experiences.

At the moment I'm booking a slot for seven days ahead. I'm booking it when I get up in the morning.

You've got to click on the calendar to find a slot. Not use the 'next three days' button.

Ok I've always just clicked ahead to see and could book up to a couple of weeks ahead

At the moment can only see next 3 days (with no delivery slots) then there is a message saying no further slots available

@LittleRen

Oh no that sounds rubbish, as a smart pass holder I thought you'd be eligible for some perks

Normally, I just tend to book slots that are £1.99 or so, am not a smart pass holder or anything like that
