Asymptomatic positive tests - to think that you have a smaller viral load?

I think it's been talked about before. But I really believe in the more vital load you get, the more poorly you will be. I'm thinking asymptomatic people might have only took on a very small amount of the virus, maybe they caught it by touching something with it. Whereas someone who has had very close contact, maybe someone has coughed very close to them, will take on more viral load and will be symptomatic?
