Mum driving me to care for, and ride my horse classes as essential travel doesn't it?
Anotheronetwo · 01/11/2020 07:34
Yes. Horse needs to be looked after. Assuming you and your mum are in one household or bubble?
MaxNormal · 01/11/2020 08:39
Yes of course, you can hardly let an animal starve and life in its own filth, although there was some loon during previous lockdown who suggested that very thing.

You may travel to provide basic needs of livestock even if you have covid - if there is noone else to do so. Details in the link.
It therefore follows that you may continue to provide care to them during lockdown.

Phew 😊! She wasn't actually mine during the last lockdown, so my boss looked after her then. They have her to me as a thank you after the yard closed as I'd worked there for the last eight years. She loves out, but still needs her feed and regular exercise to keep arthritis at bay as she's 22 now.

She’s gorgeous - lovely feathers. Lucky you!

This is definitely essential and of course you can travel to look after your pets. I was thinking today that the hours exercise could just as easily be a hack or schooling session. My old mare had to be ridden at least 5 times a week and turned out most days as she was arthritic and stiff. I do miss her and was wistfully pining for her today as she would have been the perfect tonic for lockdown.

Oh she's gorgeous! 😍

Totally essential. And lovely BTW!

Do you live with your mum or are you in a support bubble with her? If so then yes, if not then no as you can’t meet inside (car is inside). But you are allowed to travel to tend to your horse yourself!
PurpleDaisies · 02/11/2020 22:39
Gorgeous horse. 😍
Driving to exercise is allowed too.
