Can I still move house (due to domestic abuse)

Can anyone point me in the direction of information about an upcoming house move?
I'm currently staying with a friend after leaving my home, with my DS 3yrs, due to escalating abuse from my soon to be exDH. I left with my son and my car keys. I've since been escorted back to collect some clothes and esentails.
I'm lucky, I have a property to go to in mid November, I was hoping to be able to pack mine and my sons belongings and book removal men.
Can I still do this? My friend has been amazing having me and my son but we both need some space and so do the children.
