Do I need to wait for a phone call or am I allowed out?

Tested positive on 24th through random work testing. Only symptom was a headache, from 21st which I didn't connect with Covid until I got the positive result. According to track and trace I am allowed out tomorrow. They said they'd phone me before the end of the self isolation. If they don't. Am I allowed to go out tomorrow?

If you don't have one of the main symptoms you need to isolate for ten days after your test so if the test was the 24th you need to isolate until Tuesday. Are you sure test and trace aren't talking about isolating following up a contact you had on the 17th?

They told me I only needed to isolate till tomorrow. Which was a surprise to me, as I was expecting to do it till Tuesday. I put asymptomatic on the test paperwork. As I didn't realise you could just have a headache. But headache from the 21st on the track and trace. The only person I was in contact with in the 17th is fine.

Their exact words when they phoned me were,
"But you are almost at the end now. Only 3 days to go."

As I was off sick in September due to MS, I've actually had very little contact with anyone. And certainly not within 2 meters apart from at work.

You should be isolating for 10 days from the day your symptoms start. If you feel better you can leave the house, if not they advise to wait until you do.

You’d be surprised how many different symptoms there are. Not everyone gets the standard temp/cough etc. Some only have diarrhoea.

They've just phoned. I'm relaxed from tomorrow. But think I'll keep
A low profile and stay away from people.

Literally a headache was my only symptom. As I get migraines around my period I thought it was that. Though it was a week too early. And didn't follow the usual pattern. Apparently not.
