If you lived in London would you go up to Birgmingham for the weekend?

London is tier 2, so is Birmingham at the moment, but there is talk of it going into tier 3 next week as there are so many cases ….. looking at the statistics online there are double the cases and rising much more quickly. This involves a hotel stay and mixing with uni students.

Hotel not a worry. Depends what the “mixing with uni students” looks like - visiting DC and taking them out for dinner etc, yes. Going punning & clubbing/house party - no. Giving a lecture for work - yes. Etc

I don't have specific information about Birmingham, but Covid has been absolutely rife among university students recently, so the prospect of mixing with university students would ring major alarm bells for me.
