Anyone over 50 who’s tested positive? Recovery stories please?

My mum is 58 and tested positive yesterday.
She’s currently on day 5.
She has no underlying health conditions but has had several bouts of pleurisy in the past.

Please can anyone give me a positive story.
I’m so worried about her.

Work colleague late 50s (sorry, don't know him well enough to check exactly what age), felt a bit tired and coughed a fair bit, but not enough to stop working throughout (we WAH before anyone worries about that).
Hope it's not too bad for your mum.

A friend of mine tested positive. She felt under the weather for a few days, then recovered.

I also know someone who's 81 who tested positive. She coughed a lot, but it didn't cause further complications.

Sorry - meant to say my friend is 61.

I had it very mildly, as did my husband.

Fingers crossed she'll be ok.

What were your mild symptoms?

My mum felt shivery for a few days. Her temp was 37.5 Monday but has been below 37 since.

She had a mild cough yesterday but today has said her chest feels tight when she coughs.

There is a thread here, my covid journey. It sounds a lot like what your mum is going through. I hope she makes a good recovery.

98 year old DF tested positive two weeks running in May. Fatigue and loss of taste. Now recovered.

I'm a similar age to your mother, OP. I had the long term version but I'm much better now as the fatigue is gone. It has left me mildly asthmatic but apart from that I'm fine. I know of a couple of others around my age who had it short-term.
