Does a temperature in children (3 year old) come down with calpol if it's covid?

Doesn't matter to what you need to do.

  1. any temperature that doesn't come down with calpol + ibuprofen = call 111 for advice
  2. if it comes down ok, your child still had a temperature and therefore still needs a covid test unless they had flu vaccine in the last 48 hours and have no other symptoms (call 119 if unsure)

Whatever has caused a temperature it should still respond to pain relief such as Calpol. Covid is no different in that respect to any other bug that would cause a temp.
