So just wounder if this has happened to anyone else or is a one off. On Saturday I had a text saying I have a Covid test booked name date of birth and place to be tested. It was not me or my information. So I called the 119 number they apologised asked me to delete the message it won’t happen again. Well today I’ve just revived this person results . So I called up and the lady goes away to speak to someone says ok can you please delete and ignore what happens. I’m shocked they have now sent this person details to me yet again. Is this a mistake that is happening a lot or just a one off ? I wouldn’t want my details messages to anyone else

It sounds like the person that booked the test has given your mobile number by mistake when booking the test, maybe a digit wrong. They will also have given their email address and maybe their home phone number so will get their result that way. They obviously got the test done ok. I would just delete it and not worry about it. Was it negative?

It’s not the systems fault but the person requesting the test. You have to input your mobile number twice, your email address twice and your home phone number so there are 3 ways to contact the person. Hopefully they get at least one of those right!

Brilliant thank you I was more worried about if they get the results . They were negative and thought well if they are isolating now for no reason it’s probably going to drive them crazy. Good to no they still get them by email. I must have a similar number to them. I deleted the info right away , so that’s not a problem. Thank you both
