Traveling from one tier 3 to another

Random question. I’m in Manchester which is tier 3. It’s advisable not to travel, but not illegal. We have been living a very restricted life since this began, not mixed with other adults etc. However, we’d booked an outdoor activity which is still open, but in a tier 2 (soon to be tier 3). We aren’t meeting anyone there, have no symptoms etc. Would you still go? And also, what would happen if stopped and we’ve left our area?

It's not illegal for you to go. If you can go by car, I would still go. I wouldn't use public transport in Manchester for a non-essential journey at present.

You won’t get stopped because it’s not illegal just unadvisory. Do your own risk assessment and have a great time 😀

That’s what I thought, but as we’ve been so strict I think I’ve been over thinking it. We are definitely driving.

We’re in tier 3 area too. My dsis travelled out of our area to another tier 3 area as they had an afternoon at Go Ape booked. They were asked their address when booking in and were then turned away. It might be advisory but some venues are enforcing it.

I'd go

Check before you go? I'm also in Manchester and anecdotally I've heard of some hotels and restaurants turning away bookings of tier 3 residents, activity providers might be the same.

I’d go

We went from GM to Liverpool area on Saturday to go for a coastal walk- all out doors no contact with anyone. I interpreted that as within guidelines.

I’ll check before we go and see what they say. Really wouldn’t want a disappointed 5 year seeing he pumpkin fields but not being allowed to pick them!
