Is everyone going into shops as usual? The ones you can’t get online such as b&m home bargains etc.

Yes I am

mynameiscalypso · 24/10/2020 20:31

Yes. And I'm going to the shops as usual for things I can get online.

Bagelsandbrie · 24/10/2020 20:36

Yes.

BoneAppleTeeth · 24/10/2020 20:36

Yes

BoneAppleTeeth · 24/10/2020 20:37

Also going to shops for things I could get online...

Triangularbubble · 24/10/2020 20:37

I go into supermarkets as normal, the pet shop, shoe shop for the kids and the garden centre, so I guess if I wanted something particular from B&M I would go there. But most things I don’t buy at supermarkets I get from amazon. That’s not a coronavirus thing though, I just find it much easier to buy online than drive into town, struggle to park, pay for parking and then find the shop doesn’t have what I wanted anyway.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 24/10/2020 20:37

Nope. Not a chance here in Wales!

Pipandmum · 24/10/2020 20:38

Yep. Even stuff I can get online as local shops are barely hanging on!

AllPlayedOut · 24/10/2020 20:39

I am yes. I buy very little online. Mainly Kindle books and some pet things.

Starlight101 · 24/10/2020 20:39

Haven’t been to a shop since March. Get everything online.

LuluJakey1 · 24/10/2020 20:40

Yes, shopping as normal.

MJMG2015 · 24/10/2020 20:41

No. But there hasn't been anything I really need that I can't get online.

There are things I'd rather buy in person (shoes & clothes) but I'm just going to order online & hope for the best.

I'd also like some bedding & I prefer to feel it before I buy it, but again I'll just buy it & hope for the best.

I'm vulnerable though, so more cautious than many I guess.

TheGreatWave · 24/10/2020 20:45

Yep, lots of different shops for different things. I guess everything I have got recently I could have bought online, but I am certain I would have paid a lot more than 80p for a couple of metres of elastic for example. I also don't use Amazon.

DianaT1969 · 24/10/2020 20:46

No. I'm not vulnerable and I don't have any issue wearing a mask, but I don't go to shops. I don't need new things because I'm not going anywhere, and I can order everything online. I tend to go to a Supermarket once a week.

youkiddingme · 24/10/2020 20:48

Nope, not been in a shop since March.

BlingLoving · 24/10/2020 20:52

Yes, of course. As per guidelines with social distancing, mask and hand washing.

Family1st2020 · 24/10/2020 20:54

Yep. Even if I can buy online. I still go to the shop. All Shops are local to me. So why would I pay delivery of things when I can walk or drive 10 mins to the shop.

Smileyoriley · 24/10/2020 20:54

Shopping as normal on the high Street and have been for many months- it’s fine!

Hotcuppatea · 24/10/2020 20:55

Yes and I did the whole way through.

ktp100 · 24/10/2020 20:56

I've done all of our shopping online.

It's going to be a weird Xmas and down-scaling of presents seems best. The kind of tat I pick up in B&M etc. won't be missed, I'm sure.

I'll miss going round all the 'shit' shops though!

Tubbyinthehottub · 24/10/2020 20:56

No. Went to IKEA for something specific but that's it.

LimaFoxtrotCharlie · 24/10/2020 20:56

I go to the shops although not often as I hate shopping. But if I need something then I try to buy from a local shop.

I try not to buy anything from Amazon other than books for my kindle.

40somethingJBJ · 24/10/2020 20:57

Nope. Not been in a shop since March, apart from a petrol station once for milk for my dad on the way from picking him up from hospital.

CeeJay81 · 24/10/2020 20:57

Doing more online than usual but also live rurally, so if it was easier id go more often. Still going every now and again. Once Wales is out of lockdown I'll be going Xmas shopping. Got much of it online but like to get all the stocking fillers and bits in the shops, so I'll be raiding home bargains.

Viv0321 · 24/10/2020 20:58

Ktp- why don’t you go in?
