...and then what they are doing tomorrow and at the weekend, which includes coming to visit you.

FFS. Get a test and keep away from me.

If you have enough of a cough to tell me you have a cough, then you probably have enough of a cough that you need a test and to isolate. Arggghhhhhhhh.

They aren't very bright, that's for sure. I mean, if you're gonna break rules, learn to be sneaky about it not tell the world. Not knowing the basic rules by now would also be a bad sign.

Have they already had it tested ? Or not? A cough can linger.

Imicola · 23/10/2020 20:49

They had not had a test, the subtle approach didn't work, but after a more direct message they have agreed to get a test (and not talk to us).

What did they say when you told them you didn't want to meet? Some people are idiots aren't they

I agree in this situation then he's, a test is needed as is SI until the result comes in.

There are some situations though when it isn't.

I've just had Covid but the cough is still with me, despite no longer being contagious. So I do have a cough but don't have to SI or test.

Dh always has a cough. He doesn't, however, have a new continuous cough. He doesn't need to SI (well not know the 14 days are up since my symptoms/positive result) or test.

I cough due to chronic sinus issues - not a new cough, and no need to test. I always warn eg the hairdresser that I might cough, and try not to go out much in case I cough and people are scared/angry!
