Please could someone who isn’t as confused as me help?

Because of the new lockdown rules tonight for wales, I’m not sure what your allowed to do anymore regarding travel.

I want to travel to my sister who lives in the Forest of Dean and from my home in Bristol I usually travel over the Severn bridge, through Chepstow.

Am I still allowed to do this with the new rules as I’ve read numerous reports that local police forces will be at random checkpoints And I don’t fancy a wasted journey or worse still a fine. I obviously won’t be stopping anywhere along my journey until I get to my sister.

Any clarity on this would be helpful

I'm not sure it'll be allowed, personally I'd go on the M5 to junction 11a and go up the A40.

I know it's a long way round but would take out the element of anxiety.

When they had the local lockdowns in wales you could travel through if you weren't stopping. Whether this is the same now I don't know. I can't see why they would stop you. You're going to England, it isn't your fault that that is the way. You could play dumb and say you're start and end is England and you were just following the sat nav.
