Tips for breathing.

Since yesterday afternoon I've been experiencing breathlessness, it feels like someone is sitting on my chest. It's constant but I am more breathless if I'm pottering about in the house doing stuff or if I decide to talk alot (DH is thrilled I can't chat as much shit as normal 😂).

Obviously I know to rest, and I know the NHS website has some advice, but is there anyone on here who has had it that found little tips and tricks that worked for them to help ease the breathlessness?

Tia.

If your covid test was a week ago and you are now getting breathing problems I thing you need to be seeking medical advice rather than getting tips from here. Especially silly if you don’t already have a pulse oximeter.

I don’t know where that ‘silly’ came from. The iPad added it. Blush

How are you doing OP? Hope you’re feeling better today x

My chest feels less constantly heavy today which is good, I'm still quite breathless - the breathlessness and the tight/heavy feeling is worse if I am pottering about or talking alot or try raising using my "Mum-Voice". But I got an oximeter delivered this morning and my sats are good, which is a relief. Xx

That's good to hear.

DH & DS swabs are both negative. I've no idea how, but I'm so relieved.
DH Has a really strong immune system, and I haven't been giving DS hugs and kisses like I normally would so I imagine that's helped a little. Neither of them caught noro virus from me when I contracted that from work either... Maybe I'm just selfish with my viral infections Grin

I was just about able to taste brown sauce tonight and got very excited.

I feel for you OP. I got my breathlessness about 10 days after initial symptoms. Sleep on your front and just try and relax and rest. Xx
