I'm in tier 2, can I go on holiday in tier 1?

Just for 1 night.
It was booked before the tiers were introduced.

As long as you don’t mix with another household indoors, yes. The restrictions where you live travel with you

If you are staying in a single-household holiday rental, fine. Not a hotel I'd have thought. And you shouldn't be mixing in restaurants, I expect

There’s no prohibition on staying in hotels or eating at restaurants in Tier 2. The main difference from Tier one is no mixing households indoors
