How long did symptoms in your child last?

Good morning, DS11 spiked a temp on saturday afternoon after complaining of gastro symptoms. I have never known him to make the thermometer sound the warning beep before. The fever went after a dose of paracetamol 6 hours later and other symptoms have now gone. I've read gastro symptoms are fairly common in children. Tests booked and we are isolating.

But it seems quite a short period to be symptomatic?

He did have his nasal flu vaccine on friday too although none of the symptoms feature as a side effect on the nhs website.

About 5 days for my DD though at 18 she is classed as an adult. DS was ill for 3 days and although his test came back negative i'm convinced it was a false negative as he had identical symptoms to his (positive) sister.

My son was ill in April so not tested, but if it was that he had a temp for 4/5 days. But temp came back twice over a month for around 4 days each time.

3 days initially but then intermittently (for a day or two) for a couple of months. My nephew was infected a couple of weeks ago and he had symptoms for just 24 hours.
