Chest pain, breathless, sore throat, exhausted

I have a pain in my chest, which is worse when I breathe in or deeply. I’m breathless. It’s not pleurisy pain as I had it when I was a child. I had a disgusting throat infection on Friday and I’ve been dog tired since Thursday. All day yesterday, everything hurt and I just lay on sofa. I had a busting headache which is now gone too. Normally I’m out running, groceries, meeting friends etc. I’m also so tearful. My throat pain has gone since i squeezed two mammoth tonsil stones out from my tonsils.

My taste has been all off all week, food tasting off,or like I’ve burned my mouth.

The pain in my chest and breathlessness is all that’s left, apart from being exhausted and tearful.

What’s going on do you think?

Well if your taste and smell is off you need to get a covid test and isolate don't you.

SeaToSki · 18/10/2020 15:12

Get a covid test

feathermucker · 18/10/2020 15:13

Is this a trick question?!

Isolate and get a test.

starrynight19 · 18/10/2020 15:14

I would guess as you have posted this in the corona topic you have an inkling it could be that and will be having a test ?

Jhust · 18/10/2020 15:14

Smell is ok, I’ve a nose like a sniffer dog 😆

What are you asking?

pinkbalconyrailing · 18/10/2020 15:18

isolate yourself and arrange to be tested.

Torvean32 · 18/10/2020 15:38

They're not Corona symptoms. Call 111

Keratinsmooth · 18/10/2020 15:57

Tonsil stones?! You did what?

Tootsey11 · 18/10/2020 16:07

They very much are CV symptoms. Chest pain and breathless.

Get a test. I started our like that, thinking I was better after 10 days. I ended up ill for months.

Still not right. 6 months later.

Ontopofthesunset · 18/10/2020 17:39

How can anyone who has paid any attention at all to anything over the last few months not realise that most of these are Covid symptoms? Change in sense of taste. Chest pain and breathlessness. Headache and body aches. Fatigue. They are all on the longer checklists. I never had a cough at all, though I did have a slight temperature for about a day. I had a terrible headache, tiredness, lack of appetite and firstly change in taste, then loss of taste.

Cornettoninja · 18/10/2020 18:40

Well you need to get in touch with 111 (or 119 if you suspect covid).

Chest pain has always been a red flag symptom that requires prompt medical attention. Never mind covid you could be having a heart attack or pulmonary embolism you daft woman.

Cornettoninja · 18/10/2020 18:41

And I mean that in the kindest possible way, but really!?!

Jrobhatch29 · 18/10/2020 18:44

What's a tonsil stone?

attillathenun · 18/10/2020 18:47

So instead of seeking medical advice from a trained professional you came on Mumsnet ConfusedHmm ring 111!

Cornettoninja · 18/10/2020 18:57

@Jrobhatch29

What's a tonsil stone?
It’s like a blackhead but on your tonsils.
