Can I babysit for family if both in tier 2

We have an arrangement where I will babysit in the evenings occasionally. Unpaid and ad hoc.

Does this count as informal childcare? Am really confused.

I think you can be in a childcare bubble but only one if that makes sense. Not totally sure though as hadn’t been relevant to me.

Yes if they aren’t using anyone else for childcare you can be their childcare bubble.

Thanks everyone.

They don’t have anyone else for babysitting but they do have a nanny for after school who is not available to babysit in the evenings. So not sure if this rules it out?

Nanny is paid, so is allowed to work. Nanny may be a registered childcare provider, so is allowed.

You though if you do it cannot then do it for anyone else. So if you may need to childcare bubble with any other family, then you may not want to do this family if they are very occasional.
