Aching legs and Covid -19

Is this a symptom does anyone know. The last few days I have the most intense aching in my legs. Swollen glands too but no other symptoms to speak of. Just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this?

ColleagueFromMars · 17/10/2020 01:55

Sounds like glandular fever to me.

Bocadilla · 17/10/2020 07:34

I think it's another virus, I had those achey symptoms and glands plus felt very hot.
I have other long term conditions that cause the pain, but I got a test and was negative.

The glands in the back of my neck were so painful to touch.

JamminDoughnuts · 17/10/2020 07:46

how can that justify a test though?

thesunwillout · 17/10/2020 07:53

I had a fever (when I said felt very hot). Got test online.

2 people close to me have confirmed covid and awful leg/muscle pain.

Bocadilla · 17/10/2020 14:26

@GreatBigBeautifulTommorow - that’s a worry. I definitely don’t feel right at all. Absolutely exhausted and the leg pain is constant. I’m just not sure I’d get a test

@Bocadilla yes it a worry. Our workplace test us for mild symptoms such as cold symptoms/ headache/ muscle pain and positives are being seen Sad

Aragog · 17/10/2020 15:52

I've recently tested positive.
Looking back I had pains in my legs - more like sharp ones every so often - earlier on.
Since I've had some more generalised aches and pains in my arms and legs.

JADE21111972 · 17/10/2020 18:59

I tested because i was very unwell last week, and as i work with vulnerable adults with various health conditions there was not a chance I was going to risk infecting them, or my colleagues or anyone else that i might come into contact with.

Bocadilla · 17/10/2020 19:18

This is like a deep aching like the feeling you get when fluey. Legs feel like jelly and it feels like an effort to walk. Glands raised pretty much everywhere Sad.

@Bocadilla - thats how i was- feel much better today , still not 100% - mine lasted 5 days. Rest and take paracetamols, cuddly blanket on the sofa, sleep as much as you can. Hope that you feel better soon. X

Liverpoolarefab · 17/10/2020 20:42

I can't say if I defiantely had Covid as it was in March when I was ill when no testing was available. But I had TERRIBLE pains in my legs . It use to wake me up at night and I'd curl up in a ball. Parecetemol didn't touch it. Muscle pain is a symptom of Covid.

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 18/10/2020 09:02

@Bocadilla how are you feeling today?

BilboBercow · 18/10/2020 10:24

Have you considered it might just be flu? Or even an ordinary cold?

crimsonlake · 18/10/2020 11:37

There are covid cases in my workplace.
Despite working with the vulnerable we have had to source our own tests.
I have been feeling generally unwell whilst waiting for the test results, no swollen glands but terribly achey and jelly like legs.

Bocadilla · 18/10/2020 18:28

Sorry for not responding. Felt much better this morning but this pm feeling awful. Achey legs gone but sore throat and skin feels burnt on face. Yes could be another virus @BilboBercow but it’s not a cold. I need to investigate getting a test I think just to be sure
