Travelling from Tier 1 to Tier 2 with mixed household

We are in v low rate Tier 1 area. Have booked for me, DH, DD and DD’s BF to go to self-catered apartment. It’s in a low rate of infection borough within a larger county which has pockets of high rate. We will be cooking for ourselves or having takeaways and will be doing all outdoor activities as we will have dogs with us. Kids are at school together, all parents WFH.

We will be from two households. Allowed where we are, but not where we’re going if the county goes Tier 2. But does that mean that households that are normally within Tier 2 can’t mix, or households from anywhere can’t mix when they happen to be in Tier 2 areas?

Does anyone know the rules here?

Traveling on 25/10 and got to pay with no refund by 19/10!

It is the geographical area that you s subject to restrictions, so the restrictions should apply to everyone within that area.

The rules which apply are those where you live, or those where you are visiting whichever is the higher
