Tips for a 14 day quarantine (especially if you're in a flat)

I'm a teacher so grimly resigned to having 14 days off at some point. At least I'm single so no one else will be dragged down with me!

Is there anything to do to prepare? I've got my freezer stocked up and a decent stash of loo paper etc.

What do I do with bin bags etc? Mask and gloves in the hall?

Save a series on tv you want to watch for those 2 weeks.
Are you into creative things? Could teach yourself to knit or something and make people scarfs for Xmas!
Lots of alcohol!!

Boredom is concerning me. Drinking for two weeks solid may help I suppose Grin

I'm not very creative but would prefer to be occupied.

will you need to still work if you have to quarantine? jigsaws ,box sets etc plan lessons for return ,if you have to use communal areas to put bins out yes i would wear a mask and gloves and would avoid touching handrails ,i have mastered the art of coming down the stairs at work without touching the rails

In our extra 3 week very strict lock down i spent time cleaning up my flat. Went through wardrobe. Did a revamp of my wardrobe. Did loads of recycling. Cleaned cupboards. I actually enjoyed it.
Watched some series on netflix. Searched for series on i player, itv, ch4, ch5 online.
Time passed fairly quickly.

I would need to work unless I was ill enough not to be in school.

Plan lessons for return is actually a good idea. Might get all those fidgety game cards etc laminated and cut out, thank you.

I'm going to choose a box set and keep it by too.

Gloves are pointless you just spread germs from one area to another. There are things you can buy to stop you touching handrails, door handles etc.

Baking, crafts, reading, Netflix marathons, yoga challenge, press-up challenge, steps challenge eg I will get at least 10,000 steps a day even if I have to pace my living space, paint your nails, dye your hair, grow a plant, do a wardrobe / lifestyle cull, kon mari your house, start a bullet journal or diary. Lesson planning.
