Where I live there isn't a restriction on travelling.... but there might be tomorrow and that will seriously pee me off as I have a holiday planned for the Scottish Highlands in a couple of weeks.

I don't think there are any restrictions on travel in England yet. Will be announced tomorrow for Merseyside, I think.

TheGreatWave · 11/10/2020 23:23

None officially in England, areas with more restrictions are advised essential travel only, but going by the number of cars on the road, not including me* , people are still moving about.

*Going somewhere for conker collecting is essential travel imo.

Be interesting to see what counts as essential.

I’m buying a house 300 miles away on behalf of my company. I have to travel to view it. So that’s work. Is that essential?

Viv0321 · 12/10/2020 08:18

Essential could be many things

Essential travel to me means anything to have to do and cannot be put off e.g travel to work, travel for work, shopping, doctors/hospital/health/dental appointments and looking after vulnerable relatives/friends that need help/support.
