Would you suggest a meeting in an area with lower cases?

Arranging to meet with a friend and our DC. Friend has suggested a place in a town 20 mins from her and an hour from me.

This town has double the cases of mine and is in local lockdown.
In this situation would you be offended if I suggested a place closer to me on the basis that it has much fewer cases and there isn't anywhere inbetween the two areas with lower?

Depends on what you're meeting up to do - coffee shop? Restaurant? Outdoors at a park ?

Play area for kids.

Does the area you are planning to meet at have any restrictions on meeting others?

It's in local lockdown preventing you going into each other's houses but nothing to say two households can't meet in an independent location.

It's more about the numbers of cases and playing it safe than the rules. We are following rules anyway.

Surely the less people from different households travel around to meet up the better.

I wouldn't personally be offended. But people have such different attitudes to the virus that it can be hard to predict how someone will react. Don't go against your better judgment when deciding where to meet!
