Not sure what the procedure is at the moment I will speak to manager tomorrow morning before I'm due in if I can get her number.

I work in a supermarket my cold started last night runny nose sneezing cough ect I feel like shit to be honest. Don't fancy having a day off when I have just started but I can't imagine customers will want me sneezing near them ect.

The cough is the most worrying symptom there. If you've had 3 or more coughing episodes in the last 24 hours you should be self isolating and getting tested.

You need to test with a cough

So will I not get paid if I'm off?

You obvs have to isolate & get a test OP!

I've got no idea if you'll get paid or not. I do know that if you've got a new cough you need to get a covid test.

You'll need to speak to your manager about whether you'll get paid. Different workplaces have different policies about pay.

I know I'm going to just worried about money and don't want to loose out if it's just a cold.

But you can't tell if it's just a cold until you've had a test. If you start trying to book one now you might be able to get one for tomorrow.

If the result comes back negative you could see if you could pick up extra shifts later in the week to make up your money? Obviously depending on whether they've got extra shifts to give you.
