Track and trace if you’ve had the virus?

Hi- just wondering if you have had the virus do you need to self isolate and have another test if you’ve been contacted? Not happened to me- just wondering what the protocol is! Has anybody on here actually got the virus twice or is that anecdotal?

Only very small numbers of people internationally are confirmed repeat infections.

But because the working hypothesis is you may get it again, then yes you would isolate. Without symptoms you wouldn't know if you had it anyway, and the reason you isolate is to stop you spreading it, so that precaution should still be taken.

And also you can still carry the virus even if you are not reinfected so one would assume the same rules apply to all.

Carry it how? This is not right surely.

If you are in contact with a case, you have to incubate the virus within your own body to then become infectious. The virus dies if not inside a host.
