Strange taste but no other symptoms?

Has anyone tested positive with just a odd taste in their mouth? I'm thinking I don't have covid, at first I thought I had a hang over as had a few drinks thursday night (I rarely drink) but I still have the horrid tate in my mouth like you get when unwell. I don't have a cough or a temperature, have had a bit of stomach ache but nothing else.

Could you be pregnant?

Could you have a tooth abscess that has burst? I believe the pus from a burst abscess is very unpleasant.

I don’t think so, was tested last week due to other symptoms I had. I have just started taking the contraceptive pill so I guess it could cause pregnancy like symptoms?

I wasn't tested but I'm pretty convinced I had it early March.
Started with a weird taste (lots of things tasted wrong) for a few days, then a couple of days if headache - then the cough started maybe a week after the initial weird taste symptom.
Had a couple of days in bed, followed by 3 weeks of having to take it easy.

My dd had a strange taste when she had symptoms in March. She said everything tasted wrong. It only lasted a day or two then she had other symptoms.
She was fine with it though. Very mild.
