Poor woman. She had that kidney thing and corona can affect patients like that badly. She's the wrong side of 40 too. Plus of course she's stuck in quarantine with somebody who shows little regard for her wellbeing. I think her parents are very close too, hope they haven't caught it.
Basically this is going to be rough, thoughts are with her!

Oh I wouldn't worry. Melania Trump is hard as nails, she knew exactly what she was getting into when she married DT and she got everything she wanted.

And unlike millions of Americans she'll be getting the best health care available.

LongPauseNoAnswer · 02/10/2020 07:21

Melania Trump has the hide of a rhino. You have seen/heard her husband, yes?

Wilkolampshade · 02/10/2020 07:22

No. In the woman's own words, "I really don't care, do you? "

Roselilly36 · 02/10/2020 07:25

From what you see of them together, Melania, seems to practise SD superbly around her husband. So hopefully the risk to her is minimal.

lughnasadh · 02/10/2020 07:25

I don't think she's at any risk at all from Covid.

Covid is no bother to most people, even the very elderly. The vast majority of even people over 80 who get it survive just fine.

'Wrong side of 40' Hmm

Or are you trying to be funny?

SBTLove · 02/10/2020 07:27

Is this sarcasm? rough?
I think my thoughts are with the ppl dying with no health care.
Get a grip op

seayork2020 · 02/10/2020 07:27

Well being forced into marrying Donald and having no say in it must be really tough

Perching · 02/10/2020 07:29

She (and he sadly) will have access to the best healthcare in the world. My sceptical side does wonder if this is not a very conveniently timed diagnosis for a losing election campaign...

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 02/10/2020 07:31

I'm presuming this is a sarcastic post, otherwise you really need to give your head a wobble.

notheragain4 · 02/10/2020 07:37

I'm just amazed they actually get close enough to pass it to each other...

SerenityNowwwww · 02/10/2020 07:40

Why especially feel sorry for her? It was inevitable considering they aren’t often seen masked, mock people who do and have been out on the campaign trail.

Highfalutinlootin · 02/10/2020 07:45

I've always felt a little sorry for Melania. Here she was, thinking she was signing up to be simply the trophy wife of some billionaire she could presumably eventually divorce, and then she ends up the first lady of the United States. It's nuts. I bet she never wanted this life or could have seen it coming in her wildest dreams. I find it a little bit comical and feel some empathy for her.

SerenityNowwwww · 02/10/2020 07:47

Didn’t she say she has an IQ if 794 (well, ‘genius’ level)? She married him what 17 years ago? She has stayed with him and had a child. These are choices. It’s not like she was trapped in a relationship with no option to leave.

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 02/10/2020 07:49

From what my relatives who are A+E and respiratory doctors say, the biggest risk is weight (or more specifically waist circumference).
She definitely has that on her side.

I'm not sorry for her. This is a direct quote from a video aired today, where Melania Trump talks about the kids separated from their parents at the US border and kept in cages:

"They said, 'Oh, what about the children that were separated?' Give me a fucking break."

She knows who she married. She's just as narcissistic and lacking as he is.

Strawberrycreamsundae · 02/10/2020 07:51

I’m pretty certain Melania will receive the best possible health care; regarding being married to Trump she knows exactly what she’s doing and she’s doing very well thank you.
I think Melania is probably very astute and infinitely more intelligent than the man she’s married to!

SerenityNowwwww · 02/10/2020 07:52

A cabbage is more astute and infinitely more intelligent...

notevenat20 · 02/10/2020 07:54

Nether her nor DT are ill at all apparently. I am no medical expert but if you test positive with no symptoms, are you likely to get ill after that?

PickledRick · 02/10/2020 07:55

DT and Melania will have the best medical care that money can literally buy. I'm sure she will be fine. My only concern is when he comes out the other side, he will become even more blasé about the illness, especially if he doesn't get very ill.

MummyPop00 · 02/10/2020 07:58

Some unnecessarily catty posts I think.

Healthcare at this moment in time doesn’t make too much of a difference. Sad but true.

As a fellow mother, I wish her well.

C8H10N4O2 · 02/10/2020 07:58

I bet she never wanted this life or could have seen it coming in her wildest dreams

She nonetheless taken all the benefits and perks (including fast tracking her Slovenian family to US citizenship, not to mention her own 'genius' green card for modeling).

Can anyone name a single project she has done as FLOTUS which has delivered anything? She is largely invisible except when "gardening" in front of cameras wearing 4 inch stilettos

BrazenlyDefying · 02/10/2020 07:58

Reboot her circuits, replace her battery and she'll be fine. More surprised that she was close enough to him at any point to catch the virus at the same time. She quite clearly LOATHES him.

I was just thinking this morning how ridiculous it is that the US president's spouse is expected to be performatively domestic, the ultimate wholesome wife and mother. Of course, I'd much rather it be someone off kicking ass and taking names in her own worthwhile career (and I'd infinitely prefer it be Bill Clinton) but there is a level on which I sympathise with the idea that the role she's expected to fulfill is, to put it mildly, quite problematic.

I remember being quite entertained, at the time the wotsit was elected, by the knots his supporters had to tie themselves into over how very classy and elegant she was, actually, and how it wasn't a problem at all that she used to get her boobs out for the camera; and the rest of us didn't care in the slightest because that's a living, just like any other, and so what?

She herself is an appalling human being, though, so I find it hard to muster any sympathy for her personally.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 02/10/2020 08:00

It must be horrible to be one of the most privileged women in the world Hmm

DerbyshireGirly · 02/10/2020 08:05

I'm not actually convinced she's human. She'd make a brilliantly camp and impeccably dressed villain in some alternative universe James-Bond-Meets-The-Devil-Wears-Prada mash up.
