Does this sound like Covid?

I have been feeling weak since the weekend and breathing feels slightly heavy and since yesterday I've had a runny nose and headache. Today I seem to have a fever.

Very possibly.

dingledongle · 30/09/2020 16:42

Get a test Thanks

slidingdrawers · 30/09/2020 16:43

A test, which you need due to the fever, will confirm. Fatigue and headache are often present in positive cases.

In meantime, you and your household need to self isolate. Hope you feel better soon.

Lockdownseperation · 30/09/2020 16:45

Could be or it could be cold. The only way to tell is to test.

LoveEatYoga · 30/09/2020 16:46

Thanks all

I had been wondering why I felt a bit weak but today DH said I feel hot so probably need to take my temp

Get a test. I have just tested positive and those were my symptoms. Chesty cough, not dry. Runny nose, fever etc.

PurpleDaisies · 30/09/2020 17:13

If you’ve got a fever, you need a test.

LondonJax · 30/09/2020 17:14

If your DH says you feel hot, you probably are. The NHS say the fever can be felt on the chest or back if you haven't got a thermometer so best to book a test.

Hope you feel better soon.

ScarMatty · 30/09/2020 18:01

Erm well a fever is one of the three main symptoms so yes, if you've been on planet earth since the beginning of the year, it does sound like covid.

Bupkis · 30/09/2020 18:05

Definitely get a test, and ensure the whole household stay in (apart from garden) until the result comes through - hopefully negative.
Hope you feel better soon

Yes but not every fever will be Covid and I don't seem to have a cough or issues with taste so hence the question mark.

I will look into getting a test.

I am inputting my details and it's asking whether I have any of the main three symptoms (cough, fever, taste/smell) and when my symptoms started

My fatigue and and heavy chest feeling started on Sunday so I assume I say then though fever started today.

OP posts:
LoveEatYoga · 30/09/2020 18:14

It says sorry no tests in my area.

You just have to keep trying!

LoveEatYoga · 30/09/2020 18:17

OK

Yes, keep refreshing the page. At some point they will start loading the slots for tomorrow, so hopefully something will become available then.

Magissa · 30/09/2020 18:25

My son tested positive on Saturday. He started feeling ill on the previous Sunday feeling listless. Monday nausea. Tuesday Fatigue. Weds fever. Tested on Weds. Positive on Saturday.
NHS guidlines count the first symptom as the fever.
He was feeling much better by Saturday then on Sunday he lost his taste and smell. So far that's all. No cough.
I was worried that DH needed to isolate as he was with ds on the Sunday but we were told that only 48 hours before the fever counts.

LoveEatYoga · 30/09/2020 18:35

I remember feeling fatigued and shaky at the weekend and having the heavy Chester feeling but I was active on Saturday (a walk and gym class at home) so can't have been too bad.

The fever has only started today as far as I know.

Annobyingly I closed the test page so will need to complete it again and see if I can keep refreshing.

Then what happens for the actual test?

OP posts:
Wimbledon999 · 30/09/2020 18:40

Yes definitely. I tested positive and my main symptom was headache. At first I thought I had a cold.

CodenameVillanelle · 30/09/2020 18:42

Literally nobody knows - it could be Covid or it could be another virus. Get a test.

If you RTFT you will see I am trying to get a test bit interested in whether others have tested positive after experiencing these symptoms.

I’ve just tested negative today and these are my exact symptoms. My chest is really painful when breathing in, so doesn’t feel like a cold. Was waiting for my result before speaking to my GP. Hope you feel better OP

Is there any need to be so rude and sarcastic?

OP, FWIW those were exactly my symptoms when I tested positive in April - though I was attributing the runny nose to hayfever at the time.

YOU DONT NEED TO HAVE A COUGH

YOU DONT NEED TO HAVE LOSS OF TASTE

YOU ONLY NEED 1 OF THE 3 SYMPTOMS

Jesus. No wonder there's a second wave.
