Why is the track and trace app telling me to isolate...

Downloaded the app on Friday. I've actually had a test, booked through the app so I am self isolating anyway until results come but I logged on app this morning and it is telling me to isolate until 4.10.20. Is this because they have my results or is it just until I get my results
Does any one know.

did you tell your app when your symptoms started?

HarrietOh · 27/09/2020 08:40

It was on the news yesterday there’s a bug. If you get a negative test it Incorrectly tells you to keep isolating. Just wait until you get your result and then go off that rather than the app.

PleasantVille · 27/09/2020 08:42

Is it perhaps an automatic message until you get your result? As you've said you should be doing it anyway.

SunbathingDragon · 27/09/2020 08:44

As Harriet says. Just wait for your test result and then (if negative) come out of isolation. The app is awaiting a fix about this.

Bluebelltulip · 27/09/2020 08:48

You need to isolate until you have your result anyway, isolating from the onset of symptoms for 10 days is the default we should all be doing until a test proves otherwise.

Because like everything else with this shit show it doesn't work or is stupid

kimlo · 27/09/2020 09:07

it's because you booked the test through the app or told it you had symptoms.

You really can't miss that red circle can you?

BetterEatCheese · 27/09/2020 09:08

If you booked the test through the app you will get a code to put in when you get your results and it will stop the timer

MRex · 27/09/2020 09:19

If you don't have results yet you have to assume you're positive and isolate. Why would that not be correct in your case?

DellaDoo · 27/09/2020 09:29

It’s called Test and Trace..that’s all from me...

StatisticalSense · 27/09/2020 12:05

Because you have told it you have corona related symptoms and the default position is to isolate for 10 days unless a negative test is returned.

StarCat2020 · 27/09/2020 15:01

Because like everything else with this shit show it doesn't work or is stupid
But it seems to actually working correctly for the OP?
