Do you think any GB borders will close if numbers vary?

Just wondering if anyone thinks they'll close the borders stopping us travelling to another region if say numbers are noticably higher. If so, at what point do you anticipate, ie how many cases per 100k?

Doubtful - then how would they go on their own luxury hols this very week? Denials that Boris was in Italy ... but his family sure was. 🤔

I have family in a area of high cases (about 100+ miles away) so keep an eye on their local news and there are already warnings not to travel there or outside unless necessary.

I can’t see them outright banning international travel unless absolutely necessary but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was purposefully made more difficult with added restrictions.

No, his fiancée and son were not on holiday on 12th September as reported. They were with him at Westminster Abbey.
It is now 12 days (almost 2 weeks) later and his fiancée and child have gone on holiday with some of her female friends to Italy.

What was reported was categorically incorrect.

So what if Carrie and Wilfred are now away in Italy? They aren't doing anything wrong. You could go on holiday to Italy if you want to. I could. What's your point?

I am still hoping to go on a holiday to Scotland but haven't booked anything yet. I think there could be travel restrictions in the UK between countries so am playing it by ear.

2 points. 1, that he now looks more likely to have been in Italy at some point if his partner is there (which wouldnt be great if there's work to be done) and 2, lockdown is being intensified and it looks very, very different for the working class and the precariat, about to lose their jobs than for those who can simply leave the country for a break.

That's obviously fine for those with the means to do so, but it's entirely different optics when it comes to the immediate family of the PM, who is the one actually locking the country down and taking measures which imperil worker's jobs.

Wtf? Because his fiancée is on a holiday with her friends, doesn't make it more likely he has been there recently. You are being totally ridiculous.

Partners often go on holiday without each other ... as is the case here. He has been in Italy at some points in his life (as have I and many others).

I hope you haven't been or ever go on a jury because you wouldn't be suited to discerning facts from fiction.
