Can someone welsh/lives in Wales help me?

I had a test on Thursday and I’m still waiting for the results. I rang Sunday to chase it up and they said they would check it was registered or something and asked for the barcode of my test. I said I didn’t have one and discovered it’s because I had it done in Wales (I live in England) - so he passed me a number for the welsh health board, who I rang and they said they couldn’t help me and gave me a phone number to a hospital in Wales somewhere.. who weren’t even sure why they gave me that number as they have nothing to do with testing.

What do I do now? Had anyone successfully managed to find out if they’re test has been registered through the ‘welsh system’? I don’t know what else I can do, ring 119 hopelessly again?

Do you have any phone numbers from your test confirmation?

gov.wales/apply-coronavirus-covid-19-test#section-42338

Is this any help?
Could you go back to the local health board where you had the test or try the local authority environmental health dept as they are supporting the Track and Trace in Wales.

Test doesn’t exist. Not getting results. Absolutely seething.

How did you book your test? If it was via the website they can't just say it's lost because it was in Wales. They sent you! Email your MP so they can investigate what has gone wrong.

@killerofmen I rang 119 who asked for my barcode (something I was apparently meant to be given at the time of my test) I wasn’t given one. He searched my details and couldn’t find anything he said I won’t be getting my results and advised I book another test. Fuming was an understatement.

Yes I understand what you've said but if the national website told you to go to Wales then you need to complain to your MP as that is a serious failing and should be investigated immediately to prevent it from happening in future.

@killerofmen I chose to have the test done in Wales as it was the only option available to me after 3 days of trying. If I’d waited for an English slot I may have passed the 5 day testing period Sad

God that's shocking. Testing is such a fiasco. I know of people from a covid-heavy area being sent 3 hours away to Ceredigion for testing- Ceredigion has very low levels of covid. It's crazy.

@RantAndDec that’s awful! I think if there are no test centres within a certain radius of your postcode you should be self isolating until one comes up. Why go potentially spreading it to the parts that are doing well Envy
