Guests to the house when a household member is in quarantine

If one member of the household has to quarantine after coming back from abroad, I assume that means that there can be no guests to the house?
I know the person in quarantine can't have guests but I can't find anything anywhere to say that the rest of the household can't have guests but it would make sense to me (to not allow this).
Does anyone know for definite?

We had guests over when my boyfriend was still in quarantine, but he didn’t leave the bedroom (en-suite) and no one entered the bedroom until his quarantine was over.

Maybe limit them to outdoors rather than have then in the house

It seems counterintuitive to have guests, even if they don't see the person they could touch something they have touched but then it's counterintuitive to have somebody quarantining in a house and everybody else going about their daily business.....

We're not having any over (case in son's class) but then again we are not isolating him in his own household.

Exactly. His twin is going out to school and I'm off to meetings for work.

Do you think it’s a good idea @unicornparty?
