Ds will be 11 next month. We booked to take him to the Beatles hotel in Liverpool. He’s obsessed with the beatles. He really won’t cope (autism) if we can’t go and I’ll be gutted for him.

Do you think we might aswel cancel now? 😩

Eh? Why would you cancel? Do you think the Beatles Hotel will cancel nearer the time? I would just play by ear and presume the birthday plans will go ahead. Why create negativity for your DS unnecessarily?

I’m just worried we will go into lock down again. We are all so excited :(

I think all you can do is wait and see what happens. We've got a similar situation with our DC. I very much hope that there isn't another national lockdown, it is not the way to deal with something that is endemic.

I feel your pain... we’re supposed to go on our honeymoon in two weeks.

I think all you can do is monitor the situation and hope for the best Flowers

I don't think a national lockdown will happen that soon. There will very likely be some restrictions in Liverpool akin to what there is currently in manchester. But none of them (currently) affect ability to do stuff with one's own household. Pubs might be a problem, but I don't think that would affect an 11yo. I'd hope you can still go.

ApolloandDaphne · 18/09/2020 10:22

I reckon they won't totally lockdown but will impose earlier closing for pubs and restaurants.

WaffleDogg20 · 18/09/2020 11:09

Fingers crossed!

Call them perhaps you could take him this weekend instead before it goes, if it goes, into lockdown. Not ideal but perhaps better than not going at all.

That’s not an option sadly, we all work and have childcare sorted for the oldest 😔
