Self isolating whilst driving around the country trying to get a test?

Not me, just a hypothetical based on everything I've heard.

It's no wonder covid is spreading if people with symptoms are having to travel so much to get a test. What a ridiculous situation.

Surely if home testing was the norm rather than travelling to a test centre (if any tests are actually available!) it would make isolating easier and help prevent the spread of the virus?

When I had Covid I wasn’t capable of driving!

A longer journey = higher chance of mechanical difficulties / toilet breaks = more chance of catching & spreading

I have wondered about this too. I don't even own a car so would immediately have a bit of a problem there... and I imagine if I actually had covid, I might feel too unwell to want to walk any distance to a test centre so it doesn't make any sense?

Would be better if they could put more resources into the delivery of home tests. (Although I understand at the moment the problem is lab capacity anyway.)
