Are Dc allowed to still hang out with their school bubbles after school?

Just that really. Ds goes to the park after school and plays with his friends (all in the same class/year).

Is this not allowed from monday?

No. School 'bubbles' are not the same as household bubbles.

RedskyAtnight · 11/09/2020 12:15

Only in groups of up to 6. And they should be social distancing.

Deelish75 · 11/09/2020 12:31

I’m wondering this too. We often walk home with one of DD’s classmates and stop by the park for 10 mins. The park is central to three primary schools and can be very busy. Adults can socially distance but the kids can’t (equipment isn’t big enough)

Our police force have made a statement on their Facebook page saying they and their partners such as the council will be checking the parks to ensure the safety advice is being respected.

No.
What if those children get sick when at home or seeing someone else? Still need to minimise risk as much as possible, so once they leave school they are seen as separate people.

I think many have forgot or are ignoring the fact that they are meant to be SD in England. There’s no exclusion for children like Scotland.
onedayinthefuture · 11/09/2020 14:24

You must take your children straight home, wash their school uniforms immediately not wasting one second, make them shower with Dettol and then lock them in their rooms until school the next day. That's the mumsnet way.

BillywilliamV · 11/09/2020 14:29

No, it absolutely imperative that you make their lives as miserable as possible!

noblegiraffe · 11/09/2020 15:21

OP asked whether it was allowed.

Wanging on about making children miserable isn’t answering their question, it’s just being an arse.

If school bubbles extended out of school that would mean that entire sixth forms could hang out at the park no social distancing because they’re also a bubble.

movingonup20 · 11/09/2020 15:23

Groups of 6, keep a decent margin to the next group of 6 then there's no problem

Quartz2208 · 11/09/2020 17:27

Playgrounds dont seem to be shutting so presumably you can still go to them following the rules that playgrounds always had

Grrretel · 11/09/2020 18:53

You can socialise in groups of 6 with social distancing. Think that’s the same rule as now though anyway?
