If you've had a test this week how long did it take to get a result?

Just that really? I know people who had tests weeks ago who were getting the result back very quickly but was wondering if that had slowed down now!

Woah three weeks? Surely by now the sample is no good and they are out of the isolation stage anyway

My postal test was returned at 3pm on Tues.

Still nothing (and i forgot to make a note of the royal mail tracking no).

Both sons tested Monday @ 12. Got results back for one on Wednesday night. Other one still no results.

storminabuttercup · 11/09/2020 10:59

Sounds like it's taking longer right now then. I know some were coming back in less than 24 hours

mummyof4kids · 11/09/2020 12:13

RoseGoldEagle · 11/09/2020 12:26

Got one for DS last Sunday morning and it come back Tuesday evening. We had one for DD about 6 weeks ago which took 12 hours so it’s definitely getting busier and taking longer now

Bizzywater · 11/09/2020 12:32

Got a walk in test on Tuesday about 11am, result arrived this morning 9.30am

Bashitcrazy · 11/09/2020 12:36

Myself and my son had one done at 9am on Tuesday morning and I had the results back Wednesday at 2am

storminabuttercup · 11/09/2020 12:41

Seems quite different for different people too, presumably based on area. The test centre was really quiet when we went. Presumably it's at the labs that there's the tests backing up

My friends DD went to get a test on Sunday late afternoon and heard within 24 hours (they were told up to 48 hours)

itsallabouttobegin · 11/09/2020 12:58

Tested 10am Monday and results back 4pm Tuesday

gemplusthree · 11/09/2020 14:19

My daughter was tested yesterday (walk in centre) at about 10.30am, I received the email results at 5.30am today. Text was sent by 6.30am. We are in Northampton. I dont know if location makes a difference. I couldn't book a test, but the centre said they do drop ins, and were happy for her to be tested as she was coughing

Paranoidmarvin · 11/09/2020 16:04

Had one yesterday at 2:30. Got the results at 8.30 this morning

NeverTalksToStrangers · 12/09/2020 23:03

Finally got my results about an hour ago by email. Posted Tues. Still waiting on the text notification.

Chienloup · 12/09/2020 23:06

I couldn't get a test in a centre. Returned my home test on Wednesday, nothing back yet. Kids have missed 4 days of school out of five so far. If I don't get a result by Monday I'll be most unhappy.

arewethereyetmum78 · 12/09/2020 23:09

19 hours - Scotland ( not sure if location makes a difference)

Bramble88 · 12/09/2020 23:33

Less than 24 hours, im in Scotland too

ButterflyBitch · 12/09/2020 23:40

Test tues, results weds.

toiletpaper · 12/09/2020 23:41

I had a test on Wednesday and had the result on Thursday but I'm a nurse and had it done via the health board so that's probably why mine came back so quickly

Passmethecrisps · 12/09/2020 23:43

Test Wednesday 1:30 and testily Thursday 6:30

WingingItSince1973 · 12/09/2020 23:52
