Dd1 is in a 1600 student bubble, dd2 a 300 student bubble yet we can't go to my parents house after Monday.

The worries from March are edging back.

I know the death rate and hospital admissions are lower now but I'm still worried.

Anyone else?? What a shitty year 😓

More angry and pissed off and the mental health has doubled not even scared of the virus anymore

covetingthepreciousthings · 08/09/2020 23:19

Yes, I'm feeling more anxious. As weird as it sounds, I actually preferred it during lockdown, we were fortunate to have a garden though. I'm more anxious now the DC are back in schools mixing, and both DH and myself back in public facing roles. Its making me feel very nervous as we approach winter with having vulnerabilities in our family.

You're not alone OP Thanks

Yes I’m having a resurgence of anxiety lately. It’s been better over the summer when things were looking semi-under control and the weather was good but I’ve got a constant feeling of dread about the winter.

I’m so bloody sick of this shitshow (as everyone is!) and I just can’t see how it’s going to end any time soon. Like a PP I almost preferred lockdown as at least we knew where we stood, risks of catching it were low etc- but of course that’s not sustainable and it’s pretty shit not being able to leave the house ...

Bol87 · 08/09/2020 23:52

Why can’t you go to your parents house after Monday? So long as there are no more than 6 it’s still allowed?

MummaPI · 08/09/2020 23:55

Yes me too, not being helped that my DD has a cold so I'm in panic mode

Helenj1977 · 09/09/2020 00:00

Thanks all. It's crap isn't it. My older dds being at schools is the worst. I preffered lockdown.

We're a family of 5 so my parents will make 7.

We're a family of 5 so my parents will make 7.

OP it really doesnt matter. 1 person seriously is not going to make the blindest bit of difference.

Chloemol · 09/09/2020 00:20

@primabloodydonna

And here we go with the MN use your common sense, no one will know etc etc

If everyone did this where would we be? They have to cut off somewhere

Seems to me we have a choice, all follow the rules and hopefully get the virus under control, we all continue as we are and watch cases rise

Op as it’s your parents does the 5 include your dp? Could he stay behind so you can see your parents?

HopeClearwater · 09/09/2020 00:25

the mental health has doubled

What does that even mean?

testing987654321 · 09/09/2020 08:14

The guidance hasn't been released yet, I am sure two households making 7 people will be fine.

Also, are your children's schools taking no measures whatsoever? Is your eldest really mixing freely with 1600 others?

I am hoping that your use of hyperbole helps reduce your anxiety.

Thirtyrock39 · 09/09/2020 08:18

Yes I felt a bit wobbly last night. Have to remind myself that anxiety does have a purpose and that the rise in cases, change to rules is not unexpected. I'm also getting worried about brexit now to add to it
Felt a bit bleak about Christmas and we were supposed to be going away as two big households in half term - feel really sorry for the kids missing out again
Have to keep chanting 'resilience' !!
I saw this on Instagram and found it helpful ....
