Who is taking part in the ONS survey?

We just got invited to it and had our first tests last week. Youngest was fine with it but my eldest (8 and has some sensory issues anyway) really struggled, particularly with the throat swab. I have read people on here saying they’ve been advised that it’s ok for children to just have the nose swab. Does anyone know if that’s ok to do for the survey? I realise he doesn’t have to do it but I would like for all of us to participate if possible especially now they’re back at school! Plus he should probably get used to being tested in anticipation of winter!!

Let him drop out if he doesn't like it. Or let him spend the vouchers and see if he thinks the discomfort is worth the reward at the end of it.
