Does the app ever tell you if you should get a test ? How does it tell you ?

@middleager quite possibly although I should be clear - I’m not an expert! I’ve just read through the site

There was definitely something similar going round at the same time (unsurprisingly given how common the symptoms are perhaps bar the loss of small/taste) and even allowing for false negatives/positives we can see that a large number of tests are negative. The trust I work in publishes its numbers daily and there are always significantly more negatives than positives so clearly people are testing for symptoms later shown not to be covid.

Tracking the symptoms isn’t as reliable as a test result, although tests aren’t 100% either, but symptoms are an easily collated point of data and in conjunction have proved themselves a valuable tool.
