A family member, who's not in our household, has symptoms and had a test. We've not seen him for a few weeks but seen others who are in his household and others who are part of his bubble. While awaiting the results, do we and others who are in our bubble have to self isolate. I'm unsure about how far reaching the isolation rules apply. Any advice please?

It’s only him, members of his household and members of his own support bubble that need to isolate at this stage.

Thank you, but
someone in your support bubble has symptoms or has tested positive
We haven't been in contact with the person showing symptoms, but we have seen someone who has been in contact with him iykwim.

It's only people who you have been in direct contact with.

X post there. Great. I understand now. Thank you.

Yes, that doesn’t matter. If you’re not in the person with symptom’s household or support bubble you don’t need to isolate.
